In its roots its components are mucilages with a branched structure, composed by D-galactose, L-rhamnose and D-glucuronic and D-galacturonic acids. We can find flavonoids and tannins too. In the leaves it has mucilages and flavonoids. It also has starch, sugars, pectin and minerals.
