The vitamin B1, also known as thiamin, is a vitamin that takes part in the metabolic functions of the organism.

Its main function is to keep our body’s energy at the same level, because is necessary for the enzymes which make the synthesis of the carbohydrates.

With a healthy and balanced diet we’ll have good levels of vitamin B1, because we can find it in a lot of food. Pig’s meat and beef’s liver are the best sources of thiamin. The dried fruits and the cereals are good sourced too, but the cereals lose its properties if they’re processed.
